When Monotype pulled the plug on FontShop in Dec, I assumed all the content was gone. Just found thru an old link that at least some of the fontlists https://www.myfonts.com/pages/fontshop-fontlists-futura-alternatives?rfsn=6624774.1c86e7 and articles https://www.myfonts.com/pages/fontshop-from-compressed-light-to-extended-ultra?rfsn=6624774.1c86e7 are now retained on MyFonts.

@internetarchive also backed up some FS editorial content.

Oh, yeah! That moment back in 2012 when Rob Meek (of @fontstruct fame) built a plugin that let you test any font from FontShop within a document in Adobe’s Creative Suite – two years before Typekit arrived on the desktop via Creative Cloud. At the time, it was a font retailer’s unobtainable holy grail: putting the catalog right inside the design apps so the customer doesn’t even need to leave their canvas to browse, test, and buy fonts. https://vimeo.com/39256785
