#littleBits jam of the day for 2024-01-14, going for a dancier vibe and featuring the Bleep Drum Module for some high-frequency clicks!
@renaudbedard I love this! Did you do anything unusual to get that complicated a chain working reliably?
I’ve been trying to use my little bits in a live project and I find it pretty unreliable if I have three signal paths - I had built two chains based on normal oscillators, and a third on a noise generator…
@syncretist Ah!! Nice to see someone else who tinkers with synth bits 😄
My main secret sauce is the Arduino bit, which I feed with the Sync Out port of either my Korg SQ-1 sequencer or my Volca Beats, and which does 2x / 4x / 8x time division on each of its outputs, keeping all my other mini-sequencers in time.
Here’s the script I have on it : https://github.com/renaudbedard/littlebits-arduino/blob/master/Sketches/UberSync/UberSync.ino

@renaudbedard Oh, interesting. I have that Arduino bit, but the programming didn’t click with my head the last time I tried. I need to pick that up again! here’s a shot of my attempt to make the little bits more gig friendly. This is scaled down a bit from how I’ve been working with it in an attempt to get it to do the same thing twice in a row 😂 I think I had just split the voltage too many times before.
@syncretist I've grown to accept that a littlebits jam is a moment in time and can never be reproduced
@renaudbedard This makes me so happy - they really are a sort of magic, and magic has a mind of its own!
