Cecilia TanI don’t know what the attendance numbers are like at Arisia this year - we had 35-40 people at my erotica reading and the tea party was crowded - but the dealers room feels empty and I looked into a dance last nighy and the deejay was the only person in the whole ballroom.
And yes there’s a COVID surge on. That’s reality. It means some people won’t come at all, some who wanted to are ill and not here, while others who hate the mask policy are also not here. There’s not much the con can do about that. #arisia2024
On one of the other websites I opined last night that it felt like there were about 1200 in attendance. I went to the business meeting today and they confirmed I was right on the nose! 1600 pre-registered, but 1200 picked up badges. That's a big percentage.
