Thanks, I hate it šŸ˜‘

(That’s -25C to -18C for my non-US friends.)

@matt TIL: Fahrenheit can go in the negatives
@nileane @matt Fun fact :
-40°F = -40°C
@Theclassicbee @matt Oh waw, I actually never realized how warped the two scales are compared to each other
@nileane @Theclassicbee @matt mainly because F is non linear and based on how hot the wife of some guy felt.
@matt I've used Fahrenheit my whole life but have absolutely no relation to how cold this actually is because I've never experieneced anything below 10° šŸ™ƒ
@matt Time to move to the very warm New England area :)
@matt Hey, us too yesterday and today! Pretty much identical temperatures.
@matt Yesterday front room window.
@NateBarham ooh, that’s a beautiful photo!
@matt It’s a wild day in Chicagoland today. Also interesting that it’s not nearly the coldest I can remember in recent history. I did not realize that we could expect polar vortexes every few years now. 😣

@bradsiefert Fun, right?!

It got down to -25 (-50 wind chill) 5 years ago and I checked the data to make sure it was indeed the coldest day I’d ever experienced. Still is to this day. https://birchtree.me/blog/a-life-in-weather/

A Life in Weather (or Today Was Actually the Coldest Day of My Life)

The weather is insane right now in the Midwest, and I was hearing people say the same things you always hear when it gets really cold or hot: ā€œthis is the hottest/coldest day in my life!ā€ Well, today I decided to find out. Methodology I have a Dark Sky
