@h in this instance, it appears to be just the idea of scanning public posts. Not sure Masto is any different in this respect
@datatitian That's if you ignore the temporal context and things like Recorded Future, Cambridge Intelligence, and the like.
There's a lot more than what's immediately evident, which informs my opinons, including personal experience, not based on a just a one-off paper.
Then, it's just that, my opinon FWIW :-)
