Right: who has played with (cheap) #SDR? I'd like to snoop on some wireless remotes I have in the house at 915Mhz and 2.4Ghz.

I'd like to capture and decode the protocol then transmit it on demand (from my home assistant).

Pointers to this world greatly appreciated

@ash I can’t answer the question but would be interested in a writeup once you figure it out! ☺️

@richmarr Right well I've ordered a cheap dongle (the rtl-sdr) one and found https://github.com/merbanan/rtl_433 which looks promising.

I'll keep poking

Yay it's arrived!
@ash how’d you get on with your dongle?
@richmarr life happened and work got busy so I've done next to nothing with it beyond an hour of playing, and discovering that one of the devices I want to snoop is 2.4GHz so I'd need a converter for that
