A lot of powerful spells only work if you know something that other people dont know. You can turn nothing into something by
5) stealing stuff
6) cheating at a wagered game
7) just getting a better position than someone trying to do the same thing as you

Because these rely on metagaming, they are inherently cursed! Everyone cant just go do them or they dont work! (Compare to growing your own food for example)
