I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Windows, is in fact, Microsoft/Windows, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Microsoft + Windows. Windows is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another component of a fully functioning system made useful by the Microsoft developers, project managers, and vital 3rd party drivers comprising a full OS as defined by Bill Gates.
