Dems: Yes, it's people with poor mental health having barely restricted access to guns.

GOP: No, mental health is the sole problem.

Dems: So, invest more in mental health?

GOP: I mean... no. We're sure it'll take care of itself.

There is some potential good news, Congress is (likely) finally about to approve the usage of Medicaid money for addiction treatment.

Things have gotten so bad, that it's not something either party can ignore(which is kinda the bad part about this)

Mental hospitals warehoused the sick. Congress wants to let them try again.

Lawmakers are on the verge of allowing Medicaid to cover substance use treatment in the facilities.
