If you could learn any language, what would it be? And what's keeping you from learning it?

I would love to learn russian, as my girlfriends family is russian and i found the language to be very interesting. Especially listening to her family talking with each other, i would love to participate.
Plus a lot of the Ukrainian refugees in my neighborhood mainly speak Russian and i would like to understand them and hold a basic conversation with them

@SilverSauce both great reasons! I've been meaning to learn Hungarian myself so I can talk with my cousins. Time and energy is definitely my biggest hurdle tho

@[email protected] with me its energy. I have time, but sometimes i stare at the Cyrillic words and the grammar and my mind goes blank and i just have to go away from it for awhile. Now i try to watch shows in russian with Cyrillic subtitles to familiarize myself more with the language.
That helped me a lot with learning english in the past

@SilverSauce that's how I solidified my german, watching old translated episodes of Star Trek that I was very familiar with in english
