LindaMaeTX@dsilverman I also can’t settle on an app I like and used a combo of Ivory and Ice Cubes for a while on iOS. Then I liked Metatext the best. I’ll try Feditext now since someone said Metatext has migrated there (hope Metatext’s developer’s health returns!) and Mona. I wish there was a good federated home for people wanting breaking political news who are still stuck on Twitter and we could get some #s to follow. I tried Threads just can’t handle the algorithm way anymore.
@lindamae If you have not been back to Threads lately, it's now chock-full o' newspeople and publications. And there's a Following feed, so you can escape the algorithm. You have to take the time to build up the following list, of course, but it's becoming a better place for news. I almost never go into the For You feed there anymore.
