Me watching the first episode of #BurrowsEnd :

#Dimension20

Oh how I love me an apocalypse-driven story.
@ladyteruki oh, I did not know you watched Dimension 20! I still have to catch up to Burrow's End though.
@chamatou : I did not until today. I had issues with my previous attempts, and only is it after watching the last episode of Exandria Unlimited: Calamity (completely by accident : Youtube was on autoplay and when I noticed I was already into it ; now I want to go back and make time for the first 3) last week that I really got interested. Mostly by Aabria Iyengar at first, but I'm starting to get into the whole group !
@chamatou : so basically, CR was the gateway drug :P As it so often is.
@ladyteruki I tried to get into Critical Role but it just is too long, I cannot contemplate ever catching up 😅
@chamatou : I watched several episodes of Campaign 1 of CR, and yeah the episodes are long XD So eventually I switched to the animated show and started Campaign 3 instead. But I'm moving through them slowly, because I watch them in chunks of 20/30min then do something else (I have no patience for that kind of stuff, and so many other things to see !). They'll start Campaign 4 before I've even made a dent in this series for sure !
@ladyteruki maybe I'll start with Campaign 3as well if I try again. But I have a huge backlog of D20 that I want to catch up upon and not that much free time to watch (my boyfriend is not interested unfortunately).
@chamatou : haha well I don't have that problem here :P
Yeah, I've come to realize that the backlog builds up pretty fast. Even though D20 has shorter seasons (do all of them have short episodes too ? BE has very short episode, it was a surprise to me), it's still a lot. I don't know how people catch up with everything AND still consume other forms of media. Not to mention, have a life, which I'm not even too burdened with !
@ladyteruki Episodes used to be 2 to 2,5 long in the early seasons, but they got shorter (1,5 h to 2,25 h) in later seasons, for watchability I guess! The GM and the editors work hard for that, it seems.
@chamatou : well the fact that they're prerecorded and more heavily edited than CR probably helps keeping things tight. There's banter, and above table chats, plus promotional stuff for CR, that so far I haven't seen happen on D20, and it makes a difference in how long things are.
