So Sasaki is your average salaryman in a dead end job who acquires a Java Sparrow as a pet. Except this Java sparrow is a reincarnation of a Starsage who gives him the power to teleport between worlds #SasakiAndPeeps
Which leads to a scene of #SasakiAndPeeps in a tavern somewhere where Peeps is eating meat. With the onscreen disclaimer (which #CrunchyRoll subtitled, because of **course** they would) to: “*Do not feed meat to Java sparrows that aren’t reincarnations of starsages!”
I’m presuming that to be good advice for bird keeping. 😂🤣😂🤣
Having magic mistaken for psychic powers by a local mostly secret intelligence agency made up of local psychics is a bit of a twist I wasn’t expecting. It does create the worry that #SasakiAndPeeps might be biting off more than it can chew for a (presumably) 1-cour show.
There’s also a high school girl showing up in the next door apartment to Sasaki which is, even in the first episode, showing disturbing signs of being a #Higehiro type side plot. Please, no, don’t go there. #SasakiAndPeeps

@anianimalsmoe That’s the biggest problem I’m seeing with #SasakiAndPeeps: it doesn’t know what sort of show it is, let alone what sort of of show it wants to be.
