Of fucking course. DeWine decides that #trans adults in Ohio are going to need a committee to determine gender affirming care less than a goddamn week before I have my consultation.

On one hand, I don't care. Going slow if it's due to some policy or procedure doesn't bother me as much as me being stuck because my brain won't let me do something. But what rotten, shit timing. My brain is in gear and now there might be new roadblocks?

As if my spouse weren't already roadblock enough.

*prolonged and very loud yowling cursing sound commences*

@MollyBeth My biggest concern, besides the requirement for a bioethicist, is the lengthy mental health screening. It's possible they may stop anyone with certain mental illnesses from accessing hrt. Aside from that, accessing hrt may end up being much more expensive which isn't great for people whose insurance does not cover an endocrinologist.
@FernPlant I agree, there are definitely lots of concerns with the way this was approached. Not a good faith effort by any stretch of the imagination to help "protect" anyone.
@MollyBeth I agree. I will continue engaging in protests until I can no longer safely stay in this state. Hopefully this will be blocked in court but there's no garuntee.
