@mbpaz I was thinking obstacle avoidance might be useful because (a) this would be my first drone, and (b) I'm a clutz. There's a good chance I'll fly it into a tree and never see it again. 🤣

I think there's a Mini 3 Pro model that has obstacle avoidance.

@dHeinemann I bought a somewhat cheap drone to take on trips. I fooled around with it for a few weeks until I found a tree that was taller than the drone's height limit (30m) - it didn't survive the ground impact.
I decided that I'm not smart enough to have a drone and not rich enough to keep buying new ones.

Based on everyone's feedback, I don't think a drone is what I'm actually looking for - but if I did get a drone, I'd definitely get one with obstacle avoidance in all directions. I'm a clutz and I'd end up doing the same thing.
