@protonmail The same happens on Instagram. Only difference is that there is no way to switch it off as far as I can see.
@OliverS Depending on your device you may be able to change the default browser for links in the media section of the privacy settings.
@protonmail I have changed the default browser to DuckDuckGo long time ago and use Proton VPN. However, it’s interesting that there is no opt out in Instagram and no mention in the Gizmodo article that it is in Instagram as well.
