IMPORTANT:

trans people do not have to be on HRT, or medically transition at all, and are still trans

but also

trans people who ARE on HRT *need* it, and depriving them of it is forcibly medically detransitioning them (but doesn’t make them suddenly not trans)

@tillybridges so many people seem to think that being trans requires transition… it does not. There are many reasons why a trans person might not transition. All of them valid.

@Deedles @tillybridges and there are countless different ways to transition, transition doesn’t even necessarily involve any medical stuff at all
