Amazing human from the perspective of a viewer. What a career, and what a good way to⦠Not ultimately fuck it up.
Tom seems like one of the most genuine people on the internet, he fact checks the crap out of everything (going out of his way to issue corrections when he is wrong - which just never happens) and produced exceptionally high quality and interesting content every damn week.
Iām slightly sad heās giving up now only because I only discovered his channel a year or so ago and Iām not going to have new things to show my kids as they grow into an age of watching more educational content.
I can only wish him the best of luck with whatever comes next.
(Also, he deserves an MBE or somethingā¦)
I love his channel - great, informative, no-bullshit, and a fellow British YouTuber doing short-form content that can be watched over a lunch break or while hungover or whenever.
What really got me interested weāre his appearances on Computerphile - thereās a playlist and Iām sure someone will post a better link - but he takes the raw science of it and explains it really well.
Good luck to the dude. Sales in red shirts and grey hoodies will fall through the floor.
Every influencer/whatever should strive to be like Tom, his series is the greatest on youtube of the last decade and Iām sad to see it end.
At the same time Iām looking forward to whatever he may try out and hopefully heāll remain somewhat relevant even though we donāt deserve him at all.
Die a hero or live long enough to become the villain.
Tom chose the former and I respect it. Well done sir. Thank you for all the great content.
