365/365 What I nice way to finish a year-long daily sketching challenge by rapidly painting the rising tide! Alex was playing on his own for the first time that long, people got worried about who he was with as he seemed so independent (and alone 😅) but Tolya and I were watching him from a distance, sipping our coffees, discussing future art plans.

On most days it was enjoyable to go through this challenge. On some days it felt like it didn’t fit into our life at all. I’m glad I did it! I’ll certainly continue my art journey and do as much as I can without setting such hard boundaries this year. Will see how a gentler approach works for me and if “everyday life” will take its course.

@_psee Sometimes it’s knowing you can do it that’s the important thing. But it has to come from a place of joy. I feel often if I had more time to devote to the picture it could be better but then I’m not producing an art work. Just go with the flow 😊

@artbycutting It sounds like you’ve figured it out! I like how consistent and effortless your style seems :D I always look for a joke in each frame of yours and then I realise it’s more a diary — it strikes me every time how much you tell by showing just one moment daily

@_psee Thank you Alisa! I really appreciate your comment. I guess longevity breeds ability? I think the effortlessness is in the simplicity, unlike a physical discipline where there’s consequences to action. I like comment about joke, sometimes there’s a joke but it is pretty much a reflection of daily life. Something that sometimes a photo wouldn’t capture. If one person enjoys it I’m happy 😊
