The infrastructure review is usually one of my favorite talks to get to see behind the scenes and the work that many teams did to make the event possible.

Moving onto the NOC, it was challenging this year as there was a new team, new building and multi-mode fiber. The new communication rooms were a lot cooler than before but the getting the fiber working with 100Gbps network with the optics was a challenge. #37c3

Moving onto the Phone operations Center, there was challenges getting it set up due to the fiber challenges that the NOC had. They decided to move from hard drives to SSDs and they experiencing a lot of failures. There were challenges which were quickly fixed by the team. #37c3

There was a DDoS on the phone network as people could call a number to get a pixel to change.

There was a 2G and 4G network which was made possible by a frequency sponsorship. About 1 000 people used this network and handled 16.8k calls.

Next up, C3 Power.
They hand 250 flight cases full of equipment.
They deployed 17 500m of Schuko cables.
Various lengths of power cables but no 125 Amp cables due to the building changes.

The rented equipment posed a challenge as several cables were damaged. A light blew up during the night that led to a visit from the fire department.

Next up is the C3 VOC

There was an issue with async audio where encoded talks were showing strange AV delays that we not part of the source material. It was caused by random bytes in the FUSE file system. #37c3
For infobeamer, there were 2000 combinations of slides per rotation which increased to 300 000 combinations by Day 4 which would require 14 days to see them all. #37c3
Next up is the Interpreter's booth that translated into various languages like German, English and French but covered other languages like Spanish, Swedish and Arabic depending on the talk. The team spent more than 800 hours in the booth and also had a father & son team.

Next up is Assembly team which has the job of putting the various assemblies together and ensure everyone had good neighbors.

There were 308 Assemblies, 14 000 chairs on 12 500 sq/m of floor space. 10 Assemblies had to be relocated.

Next up is the hub team who looks after the sessions and wiki. There are 4 sources of talk data that is then then merged, distributed and rooms allocated.

Next up is CERT.
There were 5 Treatment stations with 1 Isolation station. CERT walked 1 176 km during the event. 110L WHO drink was provided to attendees. 186 CERT Angels. Average treatment time was 5 minutes. Most incidents were related to soldering or broken bottles. #37c3
For COVID, 14 000 cubic meters of air was filtered per hour and 15 000 self tests were handed out and 17 000 masks. #37c3
Next up is the Angel team who makes the event possible. There were 3939 angels and 2725 did at least one shift. #37c3
Next up is the fashion operations center, who sold 8 products with a total of 78 size variations. There were 3755 preordered items. #37c3
Next up is the post team. 4386 postcards were sent externally of which 3125 were to Germany and 58 were to other countries. 38k postcards were used internally for the event. #37c3
