Got me a new toy, thanks to @nyrath mentioning it. It's a scientific and educational calculator that happens to embed Python scripting, but you can also hack on the OS and native apps directly. It just came today, looking forward to playing around with it!

@mds2 It's called _NumWorks_. The physical device is only $100, and there is a simulator at the web site you can use for free. The simulator is also available as an Android app (and probably iOS as well?)
