It's important to stress that Putin's pal Netanyahu is the president of Israel and not Joe Biden.
We can't even hardly impact Mexico or Canada policies let alone that long-time ally of Russia.
@GreenFire @Mdarbyreid @paulschoe @jonivy @Kozmo
We can put W. Bush on trial for his war crimes, a genocide 5X larger than Netanyahu's, on a pretext of lies to get tax cuts for the rich.
@BretCahill @GreenFire @paulschoe @jonivy @Kozmo - Years ago, I read an article about neo-con goals in Middle East. A neo-con thinker said their major goal was to “shame Arabs” put them in their place before the rise of China. Does anyone have a reference?
I think that worldview (if fully understood) would explain entire shitshow we’re witnessing here and abroad, the arrogance & entitlement which is at the core of all of this.
@Mdarbyreid @GreenFire @paulschoe @jonivy @Kozmo
In the very late 20th Century I openly encouraged everyone to get involved in politics. Almost immediately the most gullible utopians in the history of politics appeared: the neocons .
They got played by the est. GOP like a poker chip. They are so stupid they _still_ think BushCo cared about democracy in the mideast.
Nevertheless, I continue to encourage everyone to get involved in democracy. It's the only way to flush out complete morons.
There are a dozen other reasons to vote for Biden.
The Infrastructure Act alone is helping every single State in the USA. Millions of jobs are being created.
Taking care of Infrastructure is a base government function. It makes societies strong and resilient.
The goal is to avoid the pitfalls of Trump’s first years in office, when the Republican president’s team was ill-prepared, his Cabinet nominees had trouble winning Senate confirmation and policies were met with resistance.
@paulschoe @GreenFire @Mdarbyreid @jonivy @Kozmo Even if Biden did nothing, he is not an authoritarian who desires to shred the Constitution 📜 after losing the last election.
Even if Trump somehow loses the ability to be on the ballot, the best the GOP has to offer is Chris Christie, which is saying a whole lot.
@darnell
If we're able to keep and reduce the power that the GOP has in our country over the next two elections or so by supporting Democrats than I think we'll be able to reform our SCOTUS as well as to bring Ranked Choice Voting access to enough Americans that we'll finally be able to begin ending the stranglehold on our political landscape that our two parties have. 🤞
If we allow the GOP to accrue more power than all bets are off for climate action, human rights, and just about all liberty
@jonivy @Kozmo This is a reductive and ignorant take. Congress sets taxes, not the President. Wages have risen and Biden has repeatedly supported unions. Not 100%, but far higher than any US President in my lifetime.
Inflation has largely peeked in the US and it was lower than in most countries. And Biden has gotten a lot of flak for interest rates.
