Personally felt the ball was out of play, but the lack of available camera’s to overturn the decision weren’t available. If you are going to implement VAR, at least have every angle covered.
@raumdeuter@DeeMee absent a clear angle, the on-field decision has to stand. That said, we have to get better at taking these matches out of the hands of the refs/VAR. We'd kep 80% possession to that point with nothing to show for it.
@woolwich1886@raumdeuter I get that, but surely if the richest league in the world is to implement VAR, it should have sufficient funds to have camera’s covering all angles. Alternatively, go with the semi automatic system that was used at the World Cup.
@DeeMee@raumdeuter unless and until they insittute a system in which the ball, touchlines, and endline are equipped with sensors, VAR will only ever frustrate. Until then, they should hire IT geeks to run VAR. Putting the same incompetent refs behind a camera won't change anything.
