Not Even Tucker Carlson’s Fox News Firing Could Save Newsmax - SDF Chatter

> Newsmax was riding sky-high on surging ratings after its top rival, Fox News, fired its biggest star—but here’s how it eventually came crashing back down.

Conservatives largely get their “news” from online posts on Facebook and Twitter. Most are from extremely poor sources, filled with lies, misinformation, and racism.
and that’s… different than Newsmax?
It’s like Newsmax if it was just the clickbaity title. Regardless, the point is that people aren’t watching Newsmax. Those people aren’t interested in being convinced of lies. They just want to know the thing they should believe and then move on.

deeeeep sniff

What’s that smell

Smells like projection 🤣

Well, you can listen to reason or you can discredit criticism as projection.

Hope you get better, bud. I’m rooting for you.

Dunning-Krueger prime example, right here.

It’s interesting how quickly that changed for Twitter. I was watching the Revenge of the Electric Car and Googling the people in the movie. At the time of the movie Tesla was struggling to get the Roadster out the door and about the launch the S model. Elon was married for the first time to Talulah Riley with 5 kids at that stage. I found this quote interesting from her Wikipedia page:

During Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter in October 2022, text exchanges between Musk and Riley were released where she pleaded with him to buy the social media site, asking “Please do something to fight woke-ism. I will do anything to help! xx”

And yet it was supposed to be free speech now…

I will do anything to help! xx"

Can we take a moment and talk about British people ending every message with “xx” and how incredibly annoying that is?

Does it mean something in particular? Like are they marking the receiver as a future colonial possession, or is it more innocuous?
Unless something has changed ‘x’ is short for ‘kiss’ and ‘o’ is for ‘hug’, so ‘xoxo’ is basically ‘hugs and kisses’.

His first marriage was to Justine Wilson. Here is a great article by her called “I was a Starter Wife”.

Interestingly, that page is no longer active & no luck with archive, either. Here are some excerpts in another article; if you can find a working saved page of the original somewhere, let me know. It’s linked from here:
