I try to remember that whenever we talk about how much of a fucked up horror show the world is, what we mean is that the world is full of good people being wronged and beauty being destroyed, that we risk losing all of it—not a denial of the good in the world but its affirmation.
@babadookspinoza @NoraReed That is a lovely and encouraging way of looking at things.
@babadookspinoza Also that the Bad and Evil get amplified in a way that the Good and Humane do not.
@babadookspinoza Though to hear some, you'd definitely figure they'd be fine with all humans, good and bad, removed from the equation seeing it a monolithic issue to be solved by the perceived bad thing going away.
@babadookspinoza how refreshing.. :)
the narrative that humans are inherently bad and destructive keeps us locked into whatever the actual fucking problem is..
it also always seem to not apply to the person making the claim, and their friends.
@babadookspinoza This is one of the things I had to learn about "complaining" -- that people tend to perceive it as negativity. Generally I mean it as "here's a thing that's bad that doesn't need to be, let's fix it."
