It's quite telling how much Twitter has fallen... here is my referral traffic data over the past five years. LinkedIn is up by a lot, Twitter is down ... and Facebook is 'meh'
@baekdal @asymco Its barely fallen in the last year though. Tech media left for political reasons and others related to boycotts. But Twitter is still the same twitter as it ever was.
@dominocollege @baekdal The analysis must aim to measure quality. User, experience and Customer (advertiser) quality. This is always the challenge in business analysis.
@asymco @baekdal Twitter / X was a victim of cultural dissonance more than anything. People not being able compartmentalize. I think it sucks that I have to split time between two apps now because half of those that I follow left Twitter for political reasons. And companies face pressure from these same people to disconnect or be called out for it. It’s like those who quit watching the NFL after the anthem fiasco. I like football so I didn't care. I like Twitter/X still today same reason.
@dominocollege @baekdal raw numbers like users (est. 250 million) and revenues (unknown) are not indicative of health if satisfaction is changing.
