@naominovik Read the Belgariad books as a kid so Erastide springs to mind. But then a few years later came THE LEGEND that was Terry Pratchet and Hogswatchnight from The Hogfather.

I'm not eligible but I love the part in the dark is rising where will goes back in time and it's still a holiday party but also a dude gets so angry at his theoretical family using him that he turns evil and tries to destroy the world. Very relatable.

@naominovik In the second arrows of the Queen book, the riders have their own private parties after any big celebration (holidays, coronations, etc…). The parties seemed so fun and it was great to see a softer side of the characters
@naominovik I think that the whole Christmas party arc in Emma is my favourite.
