The Colorado Supreme Court upheld the rule of law today. But I would prefer that we didn't have a former President who engaged in insurrection against the Constitution of the United States. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/12/19/us/politics/trump-colorado-ballot-14th-amendment.html
Trump Is Disqualified From 2024 Ballot, Colorado Court Says in Explosive Ruling

The decision, the first by a court to find that Donald Trump is ineligible to hold office again because he engaged in insurrection, is likely to put a monumental case before the U.S. Supreme Court.

@SeanCasten I agree with this ruling as well. Likewise, I would prefer we never had a president former, or otherwise, who engaged an insurrection. I am glad Colorado tossed them off the ballot and hope the US Supreme Court uphold the ruling.
@SeanCasten Every state that does this needs to play their timing as best as they can. Trump's plan of attack in all court cases is "delay, delay, delay" until it's either no longer relevant, out of the news cycle, or the other side gives up. Those looking to keep him off the ballot should: 1) keep delaying his appeals with the excuse that "they need more time" (like he does), and then 2) if he gains any victories, wait until shortly before each appeal process is about to expire, then file their expedited appeals. Expedite victories, and delay his challenges. If they can run out the clock until he permanently loses the case, or else his team forgets because they've got too much going on, then it's a win.

"President Trump’s speech inciting the crowd that breached the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, was not protected by the First Amendment. The sum of these parts is this: President Trump is disqualified from holding the office of President under Section Three" -- paragraphs 4, 5 of Colorado Supreme Court opinion of Dec 19 2023 in the case of Anderson v Griswold https://www.courts.state.co.us/userfiles/file/Court_Probation/Supreme_Court/Opinions/2023/23SA300.pdf
