Help me decide on a new device to manage handwritten notes for work: #Remarkable2 or #iPad. Downside of iPad is that I like to maintain separate devices for work & personal, but iPads are too expensive for that. Downside of R2 is having to carry a device that does only one thing. Thoughts?

@terrigarland I agree with previous replies, but I would also add that having a totally distraction-free device is a huge plus. No notifications from chats, e-mails, FaceTime or 'oh I just have to check this one video on YouTube really quickly'...

Also great writing experience, annotations work well, so does transferring to laptop/iPad/phone through the app.

I was an early adopter and still have my #rM1, and it still isn't full!

@slaeg Thanks, this is helpful to know. The ability to transfer to other devices easily is a key feature for me.

@slaeg @Gerard @smilingheretic A couple weeks ago, I bought the Remarkable2 and so far, I really like it. For other reasons, I also upgraded my iPad and added an Apple Pencil 2. Having tried both devices, I can now say that I also prefer taking notes on the Remarkable2. It’s so much more intuitive than the Apple Pencil 2. Thanks again for your comments!
