Many of you may remember last year right around this time I purchased a Logitec keyboard for Bruce. I ended up keeping it for myself, partly because I love it, and partly because Bruce didn't love it. The other day I noticed that the num pad minus key and the button above it weren't going down very easily. I thought that maybe I'd somehow gotten something under the keys. While trying to figure it out, I noticed that the top and bottom layers of plastic are splitting. It feels like the top part actually melted somehow because the upper right-hand corner is actually bent. how it could have melted is beyond me, but it's very near the power switch and the charging port. I use the power switch all the time, but haven't had to charge this thing in months. So, I'm at a complete loss as to how this could have happened. But, since the num pad minus key on my keyboard is used constantly by me with JAWS, I'm going back to a trusty Arteck keyboard. I love the Arteck brand more and more the longer I use them. So this is the last thing I'll be writing on the Logitec. @technolass I had one of those battery base units for an echo dot long ago and its plug started to melt. I didn't know for sure that was it at the time so I called 911. The police came and then 2 fire trucks with lights flashing and sirens too. It was epic! they made sure all was well in the house, vanquished the dot base from my midst and not one single neighbor even took notice at 10 at night. That was the day the world I grew up in officially died.
@robini71 @technolass And I checked and both my battery bases were getting hot so I tossed them and never bought another one to this day. You may have saved my poor wretched life. Smile!
@blind5sparrow @technolass Well for that i'm glad because I'd miss you terribly if you were gone. Yes those devices were neat while they worked but they'd fail spectacularly so I don't miss them at all. I'm much happier using my #SonosRoam if I want to move about with a speaker.
