As a matter of fact, president Macron has been elected twice with a small majority of the electoral vote, against a far-right candidate, with the explicit promise that he would be the dam against far-right.

Tonight, he is ready to have a law passed that drastically restricts the rights of foreign people in France, under a warm round of applause of the far-right he had pledged to contain.

This is a sad night for France.

@antoinechambertloir Le problème est devenu européen : Grande-Bretagne, Italie, Pays-Bas pour s'en tenir aux contrées les + proches. Dans chacun de ces pays, des partis xénophobes poussent très fort pour faire de la formule du camp retranché une solution. La coercition sur les nationaux viendra + tard : travail forcé pour combattre le chômage ? Pression fiscale ou légale en faveur d'une hausse de la natalité ? Répression des médias et collectifs stigmatisés comme anti-patriotes, etc. ?
