Today, this is well understood by some — but not all — political actors.

On this issue, we side with the authoritarians. Because, on this issue, they are on the side of science — brain science.

@gilduran sometimes there's no difference in stated moral views, but a difference in which policies are supported to advance those moral views.

@Bugs5000 Or the reverse - people who want the same policy or candidate or whatever even if they don't have the same reasons for why.

The statement in the original post reminds me of the way I thought about politics when I was 16.
