I saw a quiz that was supposed to measure your internalized transphobia and alienation from the trans community and then promptly defined my entire existence as transphobic seeing as I'd like to be a cis woman, all else being equal.

I dunno. Maybe that's why I'm so alienated. 🤔

I don't tell anyone else how to be trans but I don't feel like that's reciprocal.

@gwynnion I'm absolutely confused - all things being equal, do people not understand that we would not want to be born fucking wrong? Being Trans isn't fun or cool, it's painful every second of every goddamn day.

@Litagano I mean, that's my experience, yeah. But there's many different ways of being trans. Some people are happy with their bodies after whatever form or degree of transition and that's great! All kinds of bodies are beautiful! But it feels like trans identities online are being construed in this very narrow way that thinks it's inclusive when it's not.

@gwynnion Very true! Like you, I believe, I was just commenting on my experience; which is just it - no single trans experience defines all of us. I truly wish, though, that the mainstream would stop painting us all with a single brush.
