Part 2 is especially intriguing, basically my guess is because of Apple's required cut of purchases made through apps, that may apply to parcel services somehow as well, so they opt to their online form instead. This really damages the conversion rate for non-mobile forms, begging the question (or opportunity) for why companies haven't optimized this sooner?!
