Lol, yesterday it was about X, today it’s about Threads. Well, you know what? I’m on Threads, and it’s about sharing our daily lives and information, as it should be. And yes, it’s an excellent thing that a significant network wants to integrate with an OPEN protocol that has been designed that way for a purpose.
Now I woukd say Mastodon, maybe it's time to change the disk.

@dimillian The reality is that the overwhelming majority of my normal non-nerdy friends are on X, Instagram etc, not Mastodon, so I think this is a good thing 👍

@dgiffin of course they are. The PUBLIC discourse is not on Mastodon. But it's a very good to have a niche network to have actual conversations around specific topics.

@dgiffin @dimillian As I wrote elsewhere, in my opinion, allowing Meta users to interact with Mastodon from within Meta is like allowing voyeurs to enter a nudist beach clothed.
