Narrator: Trump had gotten an impeachment inquiry. His brain simply forgot that part.

@georgetakei and the first Trump inquiry was effectively shut down by the GOP, then in power, who decided not to call any witnesses after Lev Parnas' lawyer sent McConnell a letter outlining who Parnas would implicate in his testimony. The list of names was pretty much the whole Trump administration and some powerful GOP Members of Congress, too.

This whole episode is worth remembering, and the letter is worth reading, at least the first 3 paragraphs. Here's an article about it, with a link to the letter:

Read Lev Parnas' letter saying he has information relevant to Trump impeachment trial

Lev Parnas' attorney says the associate of Rudy Giuliani would like to share information with that is β€œdirectly relevant to the President's impeachment inquiry” and actions taken in Ukraine β€œon behalf of the President."

@georgetakei

he can't remember the last ketchup bottle he threw at the wall either. carry on

@georgetakei
Maybe he has to face up to the fact that he IS a witch.
@georgetakei His WHAT forgot about it???
@georgetakei I distinctly remember Republicans refused to admit any evidence in both inquiries, and that the second one people just shrugged their shoulders because he would be out of office in a few days anyway.
@georgetakei Hmmm, given the tendency to hallucinate "facts" maybe Trump was an early ChatBot that escaped (admittedly with a pretty specific training dataset)? (Proactive JK to this, out of deference to my ML colleagues)
@georgetakei
Lying is easier. His listeners aren't interested in the truth.
@georgetakei the amount of errors in his writing is offensive in itself.

@macnchez @georgetakei

Thank you for saying this

It crystallized why I was so irked reading that post.

@georgetakei The lil man seems a bit angy...
@georgetakei He is truly the king of manipulating narratives and distorting facts.
@georgetakei It's like with my 90 years old mother (sorry George!). If you tell her something, five minutes later she will have forgotten it, at least when she doesn't like it. I think the stable part with this genius is that he forgets anything he doesn't like.
@georgetakei Trump is always a ketchup bottle away from reacting in anger. I've grossly overactive people who only listen or perceive anything in support of their narrative.
@georgetakei A narrative to be historically accurate must contain #facts. The facts were the evidence that was found after either investigation or as told by witnesses. Where's the GOP #facts? Trump's narrative in Biden is only based on retribution of winning an election. Not by lies but votes of 81 million Americans were he only got less and a lot less by millions.
