JenniferI'm really annoyed with so many companies moving to expensive subscription models. Today's annoyance is with my website. I've used a company called StudioPress for years and I love the software. I decided I wanted to refresh the look of my website since I haven't used it much for a few years, but now instead of being able to buy a new theme that's mine forever for a reasonable fee they've changed to requiring a $360 annual subscription. Nope!! Argh. #Subscription #Wordpress #WebDesign
@Jennifer with some tools I appreciate the need to charge for the continuous upgrades and security but that’s a steep price to pay!
@sitebastion yeah this would be totally reasonable for a developer who wants access to the entire template library, but I just want one! I've found a new template from a small biz im going to use instead.
