Fall throwback... what exactly are these called in English anyway? Berths? Pontoons? Boat parking thingies?

@simon_diamond all three. Are pontoons floating boat parking thingies though?
@Billthoo This one is😂
@simon_diamond @Billthoo I think boat parking spaces on piers are called "jetties" or "moorings".
@Howard @Billthoo I think the thing this long thingy is attached to is the jetty😂 Maybe it's a mooring, but I thought that was specifically the thing you tie the rope to? Idk, I'm not good on English nautical terms.
@simon_diamond @Howard you are clearly on par with some English speakers though! 😂
@Billthoo @simon_diamond Yep, defo agree! Much better than my Norwegian as a English speaker too haha.
@Howard @Billthoo You're getting there with the Norwegian!😄👍🏻
@Billthoo @Howard Haha, thanks😂 I'm quite a bit better in Norwegian with the whole boating lingo, though😆
@simon_diamond @Billthoo What would you call it in Norwegian? Let's see what Google translate says it is! =P
@Howard @Billthoo The space in the middle where you "park" the boat is a "båtplass". The floating thing that stocks out is a "utligger". Literally "outlier" in English😂
@simon_diamond @Billthoo Courtesy of Google translate.
@Howard @Billthoo "Outrigger" isn't quite right😆 Similar thing though. It understood båtplass!
