Ho Ho Ho!

Happy 1997-12-11 to those who celebrate. Phish played a great show on this date in 1997, some of it was featured in the “Bittersweet Motel” movie.

"Roses Are Free" is a Christmas song?
@BrotherEarth sure, why not. And 4th of July, Halloween, Valentine's.

It's the season of giving, so here’s an early live set from MMW. The show features songs from their 1993 album, “It’s A Jungle In Here”, and a very hip arrangement of the Eddie Harris tune, “Listen Here”. This is one of the earliest MMW sets in circulation, the 3rd show listed on etreedb.

@BrotherEarth very nice! that is the earliest SBD I've seen in lossless for sure, and I don't have it. Great share thank you
@mrcompletely It’s a nice sounding show and worth the DL. I’ve played the hell out of that “Listen Here” track over the last 20 years, and may have even borrowed some of the groove for another tune. Enjoy!
@BrotherEarth yeah, unique material is a big deal

@BrotherEarth AHHH EARLY SOUNDBOARD MOTI MO!!!!!!!!!

here, you dropped this:

There seems to be a lot of copies of this show in circulation, this is an updated version. I did some audio work to the fileset (pitch (partial), edits, re-track). The show features many TH classics, “Genius Of Love”, and the songs "Cities" and "Crosseyed & Painless", which have seen regular spots in Phish setlists. Enjoy the show!

"Night Of The Living Headhunters”

The Motet are a funky Colorado-based group who have covered a variety of artists for their Halloween concerts. This show consists of Herbie Hancock and The Headhunters music. The band does a superb job capturing the essence of the legendary Headhunters grooves and they brought the funk. SBD mix sounds excellent.

@BrotherEarth these super early wailers shows with Tosh are so legit... I love when he does Can't Blame The Youth

@mrcompletely Agreed. 1973-10-31 is nice too, but was so nice they released it on "Talkin' Blues."

You can't blame the yutes, MrC.

@BrotherEarth the Down With Disease is 🔥
@unclejuice Yeah. There’s a lot of energy flowing in that show. It’s a cooker.
