@siracusa I’m grateful for your advice to invest in a good camera when having a baby. W/ that in mind, what do you think about investing an 15 Pro to get Spatial Video while he’s still a toddler. I’ve a 14 Pro and don’t plan on getting the 1st Vision Pro, as much as I want to. If it weren’t for potentially banking Spatial Video while the kid is still little, I’d hold off a year on a new iPhone. But, if Spatial Video is that special, I’d want to get coverage while he’s still growing up so much.
@siracusa listening to the latest ATP, I can’t help but again compare your guidance that, though a “real” camera is very expensive, you’ll never regret having the high quality baby photos you only have one chance to to get. Re: phone, I didn’t get a 15 Pro after all. And I know the perils of buying a Vision Pro “Series Zero” but wondering if you’re advice holds here since this is my only chance to get spatial video while my son’s a toddler. Genuinely torn.
@arguementclinic You can also shoot spatial video on an iPhone. Maybe not as good as a Vision Pro, but easier to justify.
@arguementclinic Sure, but I think it will be like getting a Flip camera years ago: it’s the best you can do, but it’ll look terrible in ten years because it’s the first generation of this tech. So take some normal, good (i.e., 4K, 60fps) video as well.
