Beeper believes that it can build a better, more human-focused future of messaging. Apple refuses to allow it, calling Beeper Mini a security risk to iMessage. Both sides are right, but both can’t win.

That fact seems to be left out of a lot of the narratives being tossed around.

If I set up my own ticket booth outside a local theme park and started selling ride tickets, I’m pretty sure the theme park owners wouldn’t be OK with it… no matter how close my tickets look to the original ones.
