I’m using firefox browser and it just doesn’t load.

I signed into lemmy.world on Google Chrome and the issue is the same. clicking load more replies just gives a endless circle loading icon.

On a single instance? If the comment was deleted or removed sometimes that occurs.

Yeah they were probably deleted in that case as I can load other replies from different posts
