Don't believe the narrative the Boris Johnson will try to push today at the inquiry that he "made the right calls" with covid.
He definitively did not:
- >230,000 UK citizens died
- Covid positive patients were sent back to care homes
🧵
Don't believe the narrative the Boris Johnson will try to push today at the inquiry that he "made the right calls" with covid.
He definitively did not:
- >230,000 UK citizens died
- Covid positive patients were sent back to care homes
🧵
- He failed to take action soon enough on three separate occasions - thousands of people died as a result
- Our kids were sent back to school for one day in Jan 2021
- He partied in Downing street while our loved ones lay dying
- The cronyism of the "VIP-lane" funnelling money to mates
- Test and trace was an abject failure
I could go on.
He did not get the big calls right.
He got them wrong.
Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
