#tarot, #tasseomancy, #lenormand, #cartomancy and #fortunetelling séance étiquette as a skeptic - a thread for diviners and attendees #divination 🔮

If you ever happen to be in a group performing as a tarot skeptical not open to the experience, I ask you kindly as a professional to leave before I have to ask. It's not bringing anything positive to anyone present (including you) and telling a practitioner their bullshiting while they are doing their best is an utter lack of respect, especially-

if you have been the subject from a remark from the diviner or attendees. We usually try to weed out people who will only be annoyed and not gain a single thing.
However, it is sometimes difficult in groups if people who are close, and sometimes interested is grabbed during the seance, so it's not an exact science. Please do not be offended if you are offered to leave as a mistake - you can always ask to stay! 😊
But believe me, leaving upperhand is more respectful than forcing yourself into an experience you don't want, ultimately to disturb it or be taken out anyway. I know besides of practitioners it is not a widely known fact - we are daily forced to indulge in things we would rather not, and wait it out sighting. However, the étiquette is different for fortune telling in general.
I mean it with no ill intention when I say refusing to participate or leave discreetly will be appreciated as an act of respect for our performance, even if it is counter-intuitive. Also, if you are a skeptical and asked to leave before a personal session, it's meant with no harm but as an act of self respect for everyone involved, including you. We all have personal boundaries and they don't have to be crossed uselessly!

When facing groups, I only weed out people if I believe it is the best for everyone, and never without discussion. Tonight it was obvious, I chose politeness and got reminded of why I was so strict about this - this is not a mandatory meeting and respect takes a lot of forms, as long as it is explained as it should. Never rush out this process 😊🌸

Thank you for reading! If you have any questions I will be pleased to answer them!
