Buy a domain like "mainstream media sux dot com" and start an anonymous blog with all the stuff he's been saying, but back-date it so it looks like it came out before he said it. Then tell him you found a site you thought he might like. Gradually start introducing reasonable, level-headed concepts about community involvement, respect for family, or whatever might motivate him to exist more IRL.

@Fitz thanks Fitz, nice idea but I can’t be arsed. He’s in his 70’s and incapable of change at this point. I just try to avoid any political discussion which is a shame as I enjoy discussing global events with open minded people.
