I would like to find a chat hangout spot, or create one, where folks feel comfortable just dropping in and sharing what they did today, what they love or what they are stressed about, or just cool stuff they found. It doesn’t have to be scheduled for specific times, though we could have a “happy hour” where people join a voice chat, mostly it would be about text, and sharing links and images.

I used to have this with game guilds, where people would just join while playing, and sometimes form a group to help each other, but mostly just random chat/social. Before this, way back, the chat was MUD or MUSH games, sometimes role-playing but most of the time just hanging out in the “living cavern” etc.

These days the closest thing I found to this is the Wil Wheaton discord, which has exactly the right feeling but I can’t invite all my friends there.

If you know of a place please reply! Does not have to be open for invites… I would like to just hear people’s experiences.
