Elon Musk can afford to tell his advertisers to eff themselves because his investors aren't interested in Twitter as a business.

Musk's investors are interested in ending democracy & thwarting climate action.

His investors are prepared to let Musk operate at a loss just to get those 2 items.

They're prepared to spend unlimited money keeping Twitter afloat to accomplish this.

Twitter's collapse could trigger a global financial crisis like 2008.

@Npars01 @taylorlorenz I see this kind of talk a lot. I think what people miss is that

Twitter was NEVER actually that beneficial to humanity.

Sure it helped during the Arab Spring (which didn’t really work out), but it also played a big role in giving us president Trump.
