some impressions
with a little bit of ventilation (case fans on min. rpm) temp stabilizes around 55°C (please ignore the borked cpu temp readout on the right)
that's way better then before (temps would reach 70° or more) but maybe we can further improve this

while we're in there we also replace the optical drive for aesthetic reasons
and also replace the broken temperature proben and somewhat improve the cable situation

@spirelli2 I use black electrical tape more for blue LEDs than any other purpose.
@GamesMissed hahaha... if i really end up keeping the component i will probably try to solder on another LED! i did this with the power and disk activity LEDs on my "modern" PC...
