Mushrooms at Great Basin

I was hiking the Timber Creek trail at Great Basin National Park when I came across this colony of mushrooms.
I admit that I know next to nothing in regards to mushroom species so I am unable to identify these.
What I do know is that I was quite fascinated by them. They seem to have an abstract quality to them.
