When I was a kid, I wanted to live in the future.

Now I'm here, I've changed my mind.

I didn't because 1984 was in the future, and it seemed scary.

But it turned out to be wildly understated.

When I was a child I frequently tried to unalive because I knew what the future would be.

Now that I have children I can't return this "gift", though I came close twice in 2021. Having to be strong for other people can be a nightmare.

I don't know how I can sustain this.
